Babywearing

The dictionary definition of babywearing is – “the action or practice of carrying a baby close against one's body in a sling or similar carrier.”

Although we may think it is a newer practice, reality is that our western culture has learned this practice from other traditions and cultures and brought it back here.

Babywearing mimics the safety of the womb. Holding your baby close they can hear your heartbeat and feel safe and secure. Babywearing can also help baby regulate their temperature, encourages bonding between the baby and the wearer and allows the wearer to carry the baby but be hands free.

There are many carriers available on the market and ways to wear them. The goal is to find one that best suits you and your baby that you are confident and comfortable using.
