Infant and Pregnancy Loss
25% of Canadians experience loss at some point in their expectant journeys. Perinatal loss is a vast landscape covering preconception and assisted conception issues, early and late miscarriage, abortion including genetic/medical termination, prematurity, stillbirth and neonatal death.
Perinatal loss is more than the loss of a baby. It is the loss of a relationship, the loss of dreams and hopes. Subsequently, feelings of shame, guilt, isolation, and grief are common when perinatal loss is present.
As a doula I can support you through the loss. Connecting you with resources, supporting you in your choices, and giving you the space to grieve.
